With our ever so busy lives, we know that volunteering is a commitment equally appreciated as fulfilling. Being a new organization, many tasks are still being completed, with the help needed in many areas. With a variety of events to be planned, we require a loyal commitment for the completion of outstanding projects. Your time, energy and heart will truly make a difference to We Funded It.

What does it mean to be a volunteer at We Funded It?

When you join WFI as a volunteer, you’ll join a passionate group of individuals that dedicate their time and energy to create positive impact in the Black community. Our volunteers provide valuable insight allowing the organization to grow and innovate, continuously developing community value.

What we provide?

  • A We Funded It onboarding package. You are more than a volunteer! You’re a brand ambassador

  • A volunteer-lead to check in with

  • The opportunity to give back to the community and work with seasoned professionals

  • Letter of reference (upon request for great candidates)

We are looking for volunteers who are:

Comfortable with technology and remote collaboration, possesses great teamwork skills, loves autonomy and is a self-starter, responsible and accountable, helpful and friendly, great communicators.

What do you need?

A minimum of 1-2 hours / week for three months. We only work with volunteers for a three-month block of time. Candidates are more than welcome to come back for another volunteer session following their first volunteer session. All you need is a laptop and a really good internet connection.

I don’t identify as Black. Can I still volunteer?

Absolutely!  We believe that community building is a team sport. We welcome candidates from all walks of life including non Black volunteers to join the team. Monolingual, bilingual, LGTBQ++ candidates are also encouraged to apply..
